About Yes Man
YES MAN didn't really require typical FX work, although TheoryFX in collaboration with Level 256 inc performed extensive clean up and compositing work on the film.
The light rigs that showed up in the side of the cars for example were a bit tricky because the light traveled from one end of the car to the other over the length of the shot. This required the entire side of the car to be replaced and tracked on. The same technique was used on all of the helmet shots, essentially the helmet was replaced in every shot you saw. - Bet you never even knew it...
Some of the work performed for "Yes Man"
- Glass window replacement and shattering when hit with a brick
- Multiple reflection removals
- Background Mountain removal
- Sky Replacements
- Ground replacements - camera shadow removal
- Stunt man padding -paint out
- Stabilization
This was not a VFX driven movie, but the kind of FX we did were the kind you don't even know we did. Ultimately this was the point.
